Big O Tires

If I could give zero stars here I would. I had 4500 worth of work done at Big O Tires in Berkeley after my ABS light came on. I was told everything was fixed and that all of the brakes and related issues were good to go. Fast forward a month to my partner trying to surprise me by getting an unrelated cosmetic issue with my vehicle fixed at a different mechanic. This new mechanic proceeded to explain that not only had Big O installed my front brake pads incorrectly but that the new bearings they installed were dangerously loose. Additionally there was an undiagnosed leak in the master cylinder which led to the rear brakes overheating and completely fusing together which is EXTREMELY dangerous…

I’ve started coming here for full synthetic oil changes for my Prius, the guys who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Cheapest full synthetic in the area, they always give a good deal, work fast, tell me anything else going on with the car but don’t try to upsell me, and the tea house across the street is a really nice place to wait. Thanks to the folks here for making things easy and chill!

TL;DR they ignored my car for a whole hour, and it took 2 hours of waiting in total for an oil change and gas rotation, even with with an appointment and showing up early. I made an appointment for 11:30am. I showed up early at 10:50am to drop my car off. The associate said my car was 2nd in line, and that it’d take 45min to an hour to be done. At 12pm, I go to check in on the status, and it hasn’t been worked on yet. They seemed to realize they forgot about it, and they eventually pull it in at 12:15pm. Then finally at 1pm they called me and said they were done with the oil change and tire rotation. All in all I was there for 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation, with having had an …

Thank you so much for great service! I came to find out about my tire issues and Big O tires really took good care of me. John was really helpful and was very pleasant and professional during communications about servicing my car! I had to go back and they were very helpful again, Mario did very well on my alignment and I was grateful for the pleasant service. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I was in a pickle when I blew a tire today. I hate that new cars don’t have spare tires and to make it worst the tires on my car are a low volume hard to find tire. Marvin at Big O got me fitted with OEM spec tire in less then 24 hours. Great service and good peoples working over there. I think I found my go to tire shop. Edit: When I return home from picking up my wheel to install I notice the inside of the rim was marred and had gashes. See pictures. We inspected the wheel when I brought it in and specially told Marvin that these wheels are ridiculously expensive.
